Brad Fordham, Managing Director, Santander for Intermediaries

I have over 20 years of experience within Financial Services and joined Santander from NatWest in 1995. In 2010, after various Retail Distribution roles, including Performance Director in the Mortgage Division, I joined Santander for Intermediaries as Sales Director. In 2013 I became Managing Director of Santander for Intermediaries and in 2014 I took responsibility for mortgage distribution across all mortgage channels.

I joined Santander for Intermediaries in 2009 as Sales Manager for South West Region. In March 2014, this role evolved and I was appointed Head of Sales for Field and Telephony. My career in Mortgages started with C&G where I held various positions both direct to consumers and intermediary sales. Prior to joining Santander, I headed up the Product and Strategic Insight team at GMAC-RFC following many successful years of running their South West BDM sales team.

My role within Santander for Intermediaries is to oversee the development and delivery of our mortgage propositions within Santander for Intermediaries and the Bank’s direct mortgage channels. I began my career as a Financial Adviser before joining Santander in 1996 as a Business Development Manager. Working with intermediaries has many great opportunities and challenges, I really enjoy this aspect and never tire of the challenges the industry presents.

Since joining in 1997, I have undertaken a wide variety of roles for Abbey National and Santander. Within Santander for Intermediaries I’m responsible for sales development and support as well as managing the hospitality and external event programme. I also represent Santander’s shareholding as a non-executive director of Mortgage Brain.

I joined Santander as Abbey National in 1986, working in my local branch before moving to Intermediaries in 1992. After working in the sales office, I became a BDM in South Kent for 11 years before being promoted to Regional Manager for the South East in 2010. In my current role, I manage two key account partners and two London BDM teams, whilst also working closely with our underwriting team to continue improving our service proposition.

I joined Santander in 1996 and after a period working in our BDU structure I became a BDM covering North London and then Peterborough. I was promoted to National Key Account Manager in 2006 and I work alongside some of our key distribution partners. Since 2014 I have worked to develop our New Build proposition and now run our specialist team alongside my key account duties.

I joined Santander in 1995 working as an Area Sales Manager within Life and Pensions. I later moved to become a National Key Account Manager to run teams in the distribution sector, initially covering mortgages and later the Private Banking space with Cater Allen. I moved back into the mortgage market under Santander for Intermediaries in 2015 and work in partnership with our largest key account partners.

I began my career in the intermediary market over 20 years ago as Customer Services Manager at Network Data. I moved to Platform in 2001 as a BDM, later becoming a Key Account Manager before joining Morgan Stanley Advantage in 2006 as Head of Sales. I joined Santander for Intermediaries in 2008 as a National Key Account Manager to manage relationships with some of our key account partners.

I have over 20 years’ experience within financial services, previously working as a BDM for Northern Rock and in the sub-prime packager market. I joined Santander in 2007 as a BDM in the North and in 2013, after many successful and enjoyable years as a BDM, I was promoted to a Regional Manager for the North of England and Scotland and currently have responsibility for eight BDMs.

I worked as Mortgage Adviser for eight years before joining Santander in 2010 as a BDM for South Wales, I enjoyed the role very much until 2014 when I was appointed Regional Manager for the South. I have now been in this position for four years and still find the diverse challenge of managing people and large key account relationships very rewarding.

I have over 20 years’ experience in the intermediary market and have held a number of positions within Santander for Intermediaries. I spent a number of years as a BDM and then as a Key Account Manager which gave me great insight into Networks and the larger Intermediary Market. For the last 10 years, I have been a Regional Manager for the East, managing a number of teams across the country.
