Experian work report – creating a better digital experience

03/09/2025

We’re always looking for ways to make submitting mortgage applications simpler. That’s why from Thursday 4 September, we’ll be working with Experian to trial their new work report service.

What is Experian work report?
Experian work report is a quick, simple and secure way for us to verify income and employment information by supplying your client’s personal information.

This service could help us remove the need for payslips in the future for some of your clients.

Benefits of Experian work report

  • Verifies income, employment status and employer name.
  • Provides the most up to date and accurate income data.
  • Confirms gross and net income.
  • Helps prevent fraud.

What does this mean for you?
During the trial period there’ll be no change to the application journey. You’ll still need to provide your client’s payslips on all mortgage applications. We’ll use Experian work report service as well to verify the information.

How can your clients take advantage of the trial?
Once you have your client’s consent, you can opt them into the trial by selecting ‘Yes’ on their behalf on the confirmation page in Introducer Internet.

Please note, this won’t affect their marketing preferences, and your client can opt out at any time if they change their mind. We’d just need you to email us at workreportpilot@santander.co.uk to let us know.

Further information
The updated mortgage declaration which includes the new service and details of the personal information required by Experian, will be available on our website on Thursday 4 September
